Charming Spring Hotel LBI Wedding

Jess and Jacob’s charming spring Hotel LBI wedding day was full of laughter, tears, sunny skies, and pure joy. Jess and Jacob got engaged in September of 2022 in Niagra Falls, and made their home with each other and their pup Nellie, in Maryland. They chose to tie the knot in Long Beach Island, New Jersey since Jess is originally from NJ and her parents currently have a home there.

Getting Ready

Jess chose her closest family and friends to be her bridesmaids there by her side to get ready for the big day. Her mom, maid of honor, matron of honor, and her sister were all helping with her shoes and her dress. Jess had the most stunning bridal details including loose florals of white peonies and light pink roses, heels draped with pearls, Chanel perfume, and a gorgeous diamond necklace.

Jess & Jacob’s Intimate First Look

Jacob was patiently waiting to see Jess for the first time on the first floor porch of Hotel LBI. We setup Jess a few feet behind Jacob, fluffed her dress, and let them have their moment together. The two were so excited to see each other and it was so beautiful to photograph.

Gorgeous Portraits

Immediately following the first look, we took candid wedding party portraits outside of Hotel LBI. We started with walking and interactive photos and finished with more formal portraits. Then, we started with family portraits on the second floor veranda. The natural light was perfect for photos! After family portraits, we took Jess and Jacob’s bride and groom portraits on the back outside stairs, on the deck of Salt Kitchen and Bar, and ended portraits on the rooftop. We had the sunniest skies and most beautiful weather for photos.

Hotel LBI Rooftop Wedding Ceremony

Jess and Jacob’s wedding ceremony took place on Hotel LBI’s rooftop with panoramic views of the bay. It was such an intimate and emotional moment and I feel honored to have been there to capture it. The ceremony space was adorned in gorgeous white and light pink florals from Passions Florist. They had a piano player as they walked down the aisle to one another. Lots of laughter and tears were shared and Jess and Jacob walked hand in hand after saying ‘I do’.

Outdoor Cocktail Hour & Indoor Reception

Jess and Jacob and their closest family and friends took some time together before the cocktail hour to be fully in the moment. Cocktail hour was on the back deck of Hotel LBI complete with gourmet cuisine and delicious cocktails. Jess and Jacob’s signature drinks were an Orange Crush and Lemon Drop Mocktail. A large raw bar of clams, oysters, shrimp, and crab legs was a favorite among all of the guests. The table decor of the reception space was breathtaking. Long tables were complete with white, light pink and green florals, tall pillar candles, and chiffon table runners. When it was time to start the party, Jess and Jacob and their wedding party made their entrances into the reception. Jess and Jacob had their first dance, followed by Jacob’s dance with his mom, and Jess’s dances with her step-dad and brother. Shortly after dinner was served, guests could not wait to get on the dance floor! Jess and Jacob had Cheers the Band as their incredible entertainment for the evening. Two of their wedding guests even took the microphone and sang! As the evening started to wind down, Jess and Jacob gave every guest a mini-pizza and cupcakes as they left the party. It was such an incredible day filled with so much excitement and love!

I really have to take a moment to highlight the exceptional wedding coordination service that Hotel LBI provides their couples. The staff is extremely detail oriented, thoughtful, and goes above and beyond for couples and the wedding vendors that work alongside them. I love photographing there and working with such talented people.
