NOTE —

If your blog post's featured images are fairly low resolution, you may want to delete the top image canvas. Your blog will still look gorgeous, but the top banner section looks best when you upload an image that's 2500px on the long side. You can also use our fave TinyJpeg to make them small so your blog posts still load quickly!

An Intimate Autumn Cape May Wedding

Amanda & Bryan’s intimate autumn Cape May wedding was a dream to capture!

The weather was perfect – clear blue skies, relatively mild temperatures, with surprisingly little to no wind (which is a blessing for Cape May).

Amanda got ready with her best friends at a gorgeous home in Cape May that her family rented for the weekend. She is a master hairstylist and colorist and had her friends (who are also in the HMU industry) do her hair and makeup for her wedding day. Bryan left Amanda with a note and a pearl bracelet for her to open after she got her dress on which made for such a special moment. Amanda did a first look with her dad that was filled with lots of happy tears.

Bryan got ready at their beach house with his two sons and their dog, Hank. Bryan secretly had a custom suit made and had Amanda’s dad come over for photos before heading to Amanda’s getting-ready location.

They had an intimate ceremony on the beach in Cape May and walked barefoot down the aisle. Bryan and Amanda had the most beautiful backdrop to their ceremony, overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse in the distance.

Shortly after the ceremony and portraits, everyone made their way to Mudhen Brewery for cocktail hour and reception. Bryan and Amanda had the most amazing decor! Amanda was inspired by a classic, elegant, boho, beachy vision with muted mint/aqua and greyish-blue tones. Bryan shaped a surfboard just for their wedding day and for guests to sign as they walked in. They had multiple dessert tables, including a table with jars of different candies. Guests could warm themselves up and make smores at multiple fire pits with stylish, velvet sofas and chairs.

Later that evening, the happy couple and guests danced the night away under the autumn sky and string lights. The entire day was beautiful!

MEET Jordan

Photography has stuck with me ever since I first looked through a plastic Fisher Price viewfinder as a child. Like a “wise” young adult, I talked myself out of studying it in college. But like a true artist, I made my way back to it soon enough.

Despite working in Exercise Science and Occupational Therapy, my camera came with me everywhere I went—family gatherings, friends’ parties, vacations, or just a walk on the beach. It wasn’t long before I officially photographed my first family; falling in love with their stories and the affection between them. Wedding photography quickly became my primary focus. Through the years and working with over 400 clients, I’ve refined my artistic eye, honed my process, and remained just as passionate about people and the connections that form between us.

Whatever you’re planning or celebrating, I’d be honored to artfully and intentionally capture meaningful moments you’ll treasure forever.

an easy-going and detail focused creative who brings an enthusiastic and poised energy to every session and wedding day.
