Spring Engagement at Congress Hall Cape May

Alex & Dillon’s Spring Engagement at Congress Hall in Cape May

Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to share Alex and Dillon’s spring engagement session at Congress Hall in Cape May. This beautiful couple had the perfect spring day for their photoshoot, and I’m excited to take you through the highlights of our evening together.

A Personal Touch: Starting at the Shore House

This past April, I met up with Alex and Dillon at Dillon’s parent’s shore house. Fun fact: it’s just around the corner from my own house! We kicked off the session in their cozy backyard, a spot where they often unwind on warm summer nights. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, setting the tone for the rest of our shoot.

The Charm of Congress Hall

After finishing their champagne, we headed over to the iconic Congress Hall in Cape May. The garden beds were bursting with vibrant flowers, and the lush greenery made for an absolutely stunning backdrop. The colors were so vivid and fresh, perfectly capturing the essence of spring.

Battling the Breeze

The weather was quite windy that evening, adding a touch of drama to our outdoor shots. Alex and Dillon were total champs, embracing the elements and letting their playful, affectionate energy shine through. We managed to get some fantastic photos outside despite the weather.

Cocktails at the Brown Room

To escape the wind, we ducked into Congress Hall’s famous Brown Room for some cozy indoor shots. This elegant bar provided a classy yet casual setting, matching Alex and Dillon’s vibe perfectly. As they sipped on cocktails, their chemistry was undeniable, making for authentic photos.

Looking Ahead

I had such a blast spending this evening with Alex and Dillon. Their connection is genuine and their love story is just beginning. I can’t wait to capture their wedding day next year and continue to be a part of their journey.

MEET Jordan

Photography has stuck with me ever since I first looked through a plastic Fisher Price viewfinder as a child. Like a “wise” young adult, I talked myself out of studying it in college. But like a true artist, I made my way back to it soon enough.

Despite working in Exercise Science and Occupational Therapy, my camera came with me everywhere I went—family gatherings, friends’ parties, vacations, or just a walk on the beach. It wasn’t long before I officially photographed my first family; falling in love with their stories and the affection between them. Wedding photography quickly became my primary focus. Through the years and working with over 400 clients, I’ve refined my artistic eye, honed my process, and remained just as passionate about people and the connections that form between us.

Whatever you’re planning or celebrating, I’d be honored to artfully and intentionally capture meaningful moments you’ll treasure forever.
