Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to share Alex and Dillon’s spring Congress Hall Cape May engagement session. This beautiful couple had the perfect spring day for their photoshoot, and I’m excited to take you through the highlights of our evening together.

A Personal Touch: Starting at the Shore House

This past April, I met up with Alex and Dillon at Dillon’s parent’s shore house. Fun fact: it’s just around the corner from my own house! We kicked off the session in their cozy backyard, a spot where they often unwind on warm summer nights. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, setting the tone for the rest of our shoot.

The Charm of Congress Hall

After finishing their champagne, we headed over to the iconic Congress Hall in Cape May. The garden beds were bursting with vibrant flowers, and the lush greenery made for an absolutely stunning backdrop. The colors were so vivid and fresh, perfectly capturing the essence of spring.

Battling the Breeze

The weather was quite windy that evening, adding a touch of drama to our outdoor shots. Alex and Dillon were total champs, embracing the elements and letting their playful, affectionate energy shine through. We managed to get some fantastic photos outside despite the weather.

Cocktails at the Brown Room

To escape the wind, we ducked into Congress Hall’s famous and stylish prohibition-era cocktail lounge, The Brown Room, for some cozy indoor shots. A unique and intimate vibe is created by the combination of a stunning fireplace, a grand circular bar, and an exquisite array of cocktails. The Brown Room provided a classy setting, matching Alex and Dillon’s vibe perfectly. As they sipped on cocktails, their chemistry was undeniable, making for authentic photos.

Looking Ahead

I had such a blast spending this evening with Alex and Dillon. Their connection is genuine and their love story is just beginning. I can’t wait to capture their wedding day next year and continue to be a part of their journey.
